About the Opportunity: n
The Reinsurance Analyst supports the end-to-end reinsurance process within the Reinsurance team at Tokio Marine Australasia. The role ensures accurate data analysis, reporting, and operational efficiency.
n
The role generates and analyses reinsurance bordereau reports, supports system enhancements, monitors treaty performance, and assists the team with renewals and placements.
Role responsibilities include; n
n
- Contribute to the annual reinsurance negotiations through data preparation, analysis, renewal submissions and ongoing engagement with the reinsurers and brokers.
n
- Generate quarterly premium and claims bordereau report, coordinating timely settlement of accounts with reinsurance brokers and internal teams.
n
- Co-ordinate timely submission of regulatory reporting to APRA, ARPC and other industry regulators.
n
- Identify gaps in reinsurance recoveries processes and recommend or support IT solutions and system enhancements.
n
- Work with business stakeholders to identify reinsurance coverage gaps and find solutions to bridge them.
n
- Monitoring performance of reinsurance treaties and facultative placements, identifying opportunities for optimisation.
n
- Tracking and analysing key metrics such as loss ratios, retention levels, and recoveries.
n
- Develop an accumulation dashboard across all lines of business to monitor exposure in real-time.

- Bring strong analytical and numerical skills to a new role

- Experience as an insurance, reinsurance or actuarial analyst preferred
n
- Be a strong communicator, with an ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders and collaborate
n
- Experience with SQL, excel and tableau highly sought after
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities
n
- Experience with reinsurance systems and reporting tools will be highly regarded
n
- Hold a Bachelor?s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Insurance or Actuarial Sciences
n
