An opportunity has opened for an experienced Head of Architecture to join a large, complex Australian organisation undergoing significant technology and operating model transformation.

n

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for shaping the organisation’s enterprise architecture direction, governance and capability , while helping transition technology towards a more up-to-date, platform-led model.

The opportunity

- Lead and evolve the enterprise architecture function
n
- Define enterprise architecture strategy, target states and technology roadmaps
n
- Build capability across Enterprise, Domain, Platform and Solution Architecture
n
- Help embed a new platform-led technology operating model
n
- Establish strong architecture governance, standards and decision frameworks
n
- Influence major technology investment and transformation decisions
n
- Drive simplification and modernisation across a complex technology landscape
n
- Provide architectural direction across applications, integration, cloud, data, security and emerging technology
n
- Partner closely with senior technology, product, engineering, data and business leaders
n




- Lead and develop a high-performing architecture capability
n

About you

n

We’re looking for an architecture leader who combines enterprise-level thinking with pragmatic delivery experience .

n

You’ll ideally bring:

n

n
- Significant Enterprise Architecture experience within a large, complex organisation
n
- Experience leading architecture teams and capability
n
- Strong architecture governance and assurance experience
n
- Broad technology knowledge rather than a single-domain specialism
n
- Experience with major transformation, modernisation and complex legacy environments
n
- Exposure to platform or product-based technology operating models
n
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- The confidence to challenge, influence and provide a clear architectural point of view
n
- Retail, consumer, financial services, energy, telco or another large enterprise background would be highly regarded
n
