Job Description
Working Site Supervisor Required | High-End Retail & Commercial Fitout | Sydney Metropolitan Area Projects | Full-Time Permanent | $50 Per Hour + Super OR $117K Salary + Super | Company Vehicle | Overtime n
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Working Site Supervisor to join a highly regarded and established commercial interiors and shopfitting contractor delivering premium projects across the Sydney metropolitan area and nationally.
n
The business specialises in high-end retail, commercial, airport retail, medical and hospitality fitouts , delivering high-quality interior environments across a diverse range of projects.
n
This is a genuinely hands‑on Site Supervisor position, ideally suited to someone who enjoys being involved in the physical delivery of projects while also taking responsibility for supervising trades and subcontractors.
n
You will spend approximately 50% of your time supervising and coordinating trades and 50% hands‑on with installation works , depending on the size and requirements of each project.

You will work across varied, high-quality projects where quality, attention to detail, programme and presentation are critical .
The Role n
Working closely with the Project Management team, you will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day delivery of projects on site.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Supervising trades, subcontractors and site personnel
n
- Coordinating daily site activities and sequencing works
n
- Leading and directing site teams
n
- Ensuring projects are delivered to programme and quality requirements
n
- Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, shop drawings and specifications
n
- Coordinating deliveries, materials and subcontractors
n
- Liaising with Project Managers, clients, contractors and suppliers
n
- Carrying out site measurements and setting out where required
n
- Identifying and resolving site issues
n
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
n
- Ensuring sites are kept safe, clean and organised
n
- Managing defects, rectification works and project handovers
n
- Assisting with installation and fitout works
n
- Completing hands‑on joinery, carpentry and general fitout installation as required
n
- Taking ownership of the site and ensuring works progress efficiently
n
About You n
The ideal candidate will have experience as a:
n
n
- Site Supervisor
n
- Working Supervisor
n
- Site Foreman
n
- Shopfitting Foreman
n
- Leading Hand
n
- Senior Installer
n
n
You will ideally come from a background in commercial fitout, shopfitting, joinery, carpentry or interior construction .
n
You will need to be comfortable both leading trades and getting hands‑on yourself .
n
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
n

- Proven experience supervising construction, fitout or shopfitting projects
n
- Strong understanding of site coordination and construction processes
n
- Ability to read drawings and specifications
n
- Strong leadership and communication skills
n
- Excellent attention to detail
n
- Ability to manage multiple trades and competing priorities
n
- A practical, hands‑on approach
n
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
n
- Robust commitment to quality and safety
n
- A professional approach when dealing with clients and subcontractors
n
- Relevant trade qualifications are highly desirable
n
Remuneration & Benefits nn
- $50 per hour + super or $117,000 salary + super , based on up to 48 hours per week
n
- Hours worked above 48 per week paid at $60 per hour
n
- Overtime paid at 1.5x for the first 2 hours , then double time thereafter
n
- Saturday overtime paid at applicable overtime rates
n
- Night shift paid at 1.5x
n
- Company vehicle provided valued at approximately $10,000
n
- Fuel, parking and tolls covered for work‑related travel
n
- Company‑paid mobile phone
n
- Full set of power tools provided
n
- Site/travel allowance included in the package
n
- 20 days annual leave
n
- 10 days personal leave
n
- Weekly pay
n
- No RDOs
n
Working Hours n
The role may require work across Monday to Sunday , including night shifts, depending on project requirements.
n
The successful candidate must be comfortable working overtime when required to meet project deadlines.
