Due to continued growth, they are seeking a reliable and hands-on Trades Assistant to join their Service Centre team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical background who enjoys practical workshop-based work and is looking to develop their skills within a supportive and qualified environment.

- Hours: Monday to Friday | 7:00am – 3:00pm

- Hourly Rate: $ per hour

- Annual Base Salary: $65,130.06
n
- Overtime paid at double time from the first 15 minutes
n
- 5 weeks annual leave

About the Role n
As a Trades Assistant, you will provide hands-on support to Service Technicians with the disassembly, assembly, servicing and preparation of customer products.
n
Working under the guidance of qualified technicians and reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring products are serviced, prepared and completed to a high standard while maintaining a safe, clean and organized workshop.
Key Responsibilities n
n
- Assist Service Technicians with the disassembly and assembly of customer products
n
- Clean, organise and prepare parts and equipment
n
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised workshop environment
n
- Receive and assist with incoming product deliveries
n
- Assist with painting and final assembly of products
n
- Pack and prepare completed products for shipment
n
- Assist Service Technicians with repairs, servicing and other workshop activities
n
- Operate plant and equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes
n
- Follow all company policies, procedures and WHS requirements
n
- Maintain positive and professional working relationships with Service Centre team members
n
About You To be successful in this role, you will have: nn
- Previous general mechanical experience
n
- Practical, hands-on experience in a workshop, service or similar environment
n
- Experience working with mechanical products or similar equipment
n
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
n
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
n
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
n
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
- Forklift Licence – preferred
n
- Previous overhead crane experience – preferred
n
n
