An established insurance builder is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join their Brisbane team, with a genuine opportunity to progress into an Estimating Manager / Team Lead position .

n

This role would suit either an experienced Senior Estimator ready to take the next step into leadership, or someone with previous Team Lead / Estimating Manager experience who is looking to join a new business and develop into a broader management position.

n

Initially, the role will remain hands‑on from a technical perspective, with a strong focus on estimate validation, peer reviews, resubmissions and mentoring , while gradually taking on greater responsibility for the wider estimating team.

The position is predominantly office‑based in Brisbane , with generally only around one day per week on the road .

An established insurance builder is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join their Brisbane team, with a genuine opportunity to progress into an Estimating Manager / Team Lead position .

This role would suit either an experienced Senior Estimator ready to take the next step into leadership, or someone with previous Team Lead / Estimating Manager experience who is looking to join a new business and develop into a broader management position.

The Role n

Working closely with the existing estimating team, your responsibilities will include:

n

- Completing detailed validations and peer reviews of scopes and estimates
n
- Reviewing estimates for accuracy, completeness and commercial viability prior to submission
n
- Managing resubmissions , amendments and insurer/client queries
n
- Providing detailed supporting information and justification where required
n
- Working across various insurer and client portals
n
- Assisting Estimators with complex scopes, costings and technical queries
n
- Mentoring and developing junior and intermediate Estimators
n
- Providing constructive feedback following estimate reviews
n
- Ensuring consistency and quality across estimating submissions
n
- Liaising with insurers, assessors, clients and internal stakeholders
n




- Assisting with the ongoing development of estimating processes and procedures
n
- Gradually taking on greater responsibility for the performance and development of the estimating team
n

About You n

You'll already have strong experience within insurance building estimating and be comfortable operating at a senior technical level.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- Strong experience as an Insurance Building Estimator / Senior Estimator
n
- Demonstrated experience completing detailed validations and peer reviews
n
- Strong experience with resubmissions and estimate amendments
n
- Confidence working across insurer and client portals
n
- Excellent scope writing and cost‑estimating capability
n
- Solid understanding of residential insurance repairs and construction methodology
n
- Ability to review another Estimator's work and identify errors, omissions and commercial risks
n
- Experience mentoring, training or providing technical support to other Estimators
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- Previous Team Lead or Estimating Manager experience will be highly regarded, but is not essential
n
