Charities and Purpose-Driven Institutions - Senior Associate n

Excellent opportunity for a Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to work alongside Vera Visevic in our national Charities and Purpose-Driven Institutions team.

The Role n

A great career opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate to join our national Charities and Purpose-Driven Institutions team based in Sydney. In this role you will be working closely with a highly regarded and leading Partner, Vera Visevic, across a range of matters including:

- Drafting complex letters of advice and submissions to the ATO and ACNC;

n
- Arranging tax endorsements/concession for charities;

n
- Providing corporate/governance advice;

n
- Dealing with internal disputes in NFPs;

n
- Drafting constitutions; and

n
- Acting on mergers.
n

n

This is an opportunity to provide technical expertise and advice to charities and the Not-For-Profit sector more generally.



This is not a pro bono role.

Who We Are Looking For n

The successful candidate will have the following:

n

n
- Minimum of 5 years' PQE in NFP, charity, corporate, commercial or tax law
n
- Skilled at translating complex legal issues into explicit, actionable advice
n
- Passionate about the NFP and for-purpose sector
n
- Comfortable managing client relationships and mentoring junior lawyers
n
- Collaborative, pragmatic, and committed to delivering high-quality work
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent client service
n
- At least a credit average academic history from a well-respected university.
n
