The Role:n

RSGx is currently seeking an experienced E&I; Commissioning Supervisor to join a major mining project in Newman, WA.

n

We are looking for someone with previous commissioning experience within mining and processing plants, along with previous experience as a Supervisor on BHP WAIO sites.

Mandatory Requirementsn

- Full Australian working rights
n
- S26 Qualification advantageous
n
- Instrumentation Certification
n
- Current A Grade WA Electrical Licence
n
- Previous experience as an E&I; Supervisor on BHP WAIO siteswould be advantageous
n
- Previous commissioning experience within mining and processing plants
n
- Working at Heights, Gas test atmosphere, Confined spaces
n
- Current Driver’s Licence
n

Key responsibilities include:nn
- Supervise and coordinate E&I; commissioning activities, teams and subcontractors.
n
- Plan daily commissioning works in line with the project schedule.
n
- Coordinate pre-commissioning, energisation, functional testing and commissioning of E&I; systems.
n
- Oversee commissioning of LV/MV/HV systems, MCCs, switchboards, transformers,



motors and VSDs.
n
- Supervise instrumentation checks, loop checks, calibration and functional testing.
n
- Support commissioning of crushers, conveyors, transfer stations, feeders, stackers and material-handling systems.
n
- Coordinate testing of PLC, SCADA, control and communications systems.
n
- Manage commissioning punch lists, defects, rectification and close-out documentation.
n
- Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation and control-system issues and coordinate resolution with project teams.
n
- Ensure isolations, permits, switching and LOTO requirements are followed.
n
- Provide visible safety leadership, including pre-starts and toolbox meetings.
n
- Ensure commissioning activities comply with BHP standards, project specifications, QA requirements and approved procedures.
n
- Support system handover and final commissioning documentation.
n
