Civil Construction | Heavy Plant | Projects Across Australia

Durack Civil is looking for an experienced Travelling Diesel Fitter to join our plant team, supporting civil construction projects across Queensland and interstate.

n

This isn't a workshop role.

n

You'll travel between our projects, working directly with site teams to keep a large and diverse fleet of civil construction equipment moving.

n

One swing could have you supporting a major road project in regional Queensland. The next could be an airport, mine infrastructure project or remote civil job somewhere else in Australia.

The role n

You'll be responsible for servicing, diagnostics, breakdowns and repairs across equipment including:

- Excavators, dozers and graders
n
- Loaders and articulated dump trucks
n
- Rollers and compactors
n
- Stabilising and pavement equipment
n
- Trucks, water carts and support vehicles
n
- General civil construction plant
n

n

The position can involve a combination of FIFO and DIDO , depending on where our projects are operating.

We're looking for someone who: n

n
- Is a qualified Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
n




- Has strong experience with heavy earthmoving or civil construction equipment
n
- Can diagnose problems rather than simply replace parts
n
- Is comfortable working independently in remote locationsUnderstands that downtime on a civil project matters
n
- Takes pride in their gear, workmanship and presentation
n
- Is flexible and genuinely enjoys travelling
n
- Has a current Australian driver's licence
n
- Wants a long-term role rather than just the next shutdown
n

Experience across multiple OEMs and field-service environments will be highly regarded.
