We are currently seeking a Road Maintenance Worker to join our team delivering road and drainage maintenance services across the Melton Shire. This is a great opportunity to secure long‑term, reliable employment while contributing to safer and better‑maintained local infrastructure.

About the Role n

As a Road Maintenance Worker, you will support a variety of road and drainage maintenance activities, helping to maintain council assets and ensure safe, functional infrastructure for the local community. Your day‑to‑day duties may include:

- Road maintenance and repair works
n
- Drainage maintenance and installation
n
- General labouring and civil maintenance tasks
n
- Traffic management support
n
- Operating hand and power tools
n
- Assisting with emergency call‑outs when required
n
- Maintaining a strong commitment to safety and Zero Harm principles
n

About You n

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, safety‑focused and enjoys working as part of a team.

To be successful, you will have:

n

- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
n
- Current Driver’s Licence (MR or HR Licence highly regarded)
n
- White Card (General Construction Induction)
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
n
- Ability to successfully complete a Working With Children Check (WWCC)
n

Desirable qualifications and experience nn
- Traffic Control Ticket
n
- CPR and First Aid Certificate
n
- Previous experience in road maintenance, drainage, concreting or general labouring
n
