Our client is a well respected Brisbane accounting firm. This role is based in their north Brisbane office. Working closely with senior management, you will lead a team ensuring payroll services are delivered accurately, efficiently and to a consistently high standard. Your duties will include:
n

n
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of payroll professionals
n
n
- Managing workflow, capacity, deadlines and resource allocation
n
n
- Overseeing end-to-end Australian payroll services
n
n
- Providing technical guidance on complex payroll matters
n
n
- Reviewing payroll reconciliations, statutory reporting and compliance r
n
n
- Managing EOFY payroll activities
n
n
- Supporting payroll system implementations, migrations, integrations and process improvements
n
n
- Working across onshore and offshore teams to ensure consistent service delivery
n
n
- Building strong and trusted client relationships
n
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, automation, systems and workflows
n
n
n
nAbout You n
n
You will be an experienced Australian payroll professional who is ready to take the next step in leadership, or an established payroll leader looking for a role with broader responsibility. Additionally you will have:
n
n
n
n
- 3+ years' experience processing Australian payroll
n
n
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
n
n
- Experience with payroll systems such as Xero Payroll, Employment Hero, KeyPay, MYOB or similar
n
n
- Experience with workforce management systems such as Tanda, Deputy or Humanforce is advantageous
n
n
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
n
n
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
n
n
- A genuine interest in technology, process improvement and payroll innovation
n
n
- The ability to manage competing priorities
n
n
