We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fresh Produce Salesman to join our wholesale fruit and vegetable business operating through the Sydney Markets.

n

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing existing customers, developing new business and increasing profitable sales while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities n

- Manage and grow existing customer accounts
n
- Develop recent customers and sales opportunities
n
- Sell fresh fruit and vegetables to wholesale customers
n
- Negotiate pricing while maintaining profit margins
n
- Monitor daily market conditions and competitor pricing
n
- Increase sales and profitability
n
- Maintain strong customer relationships
n
- Follow up orders and outstanding accounts
n
- Work closely with warehouse and management staff
n
- Monitor customer payment performance
n
- Assist with stock availability and product quality
n
- Minimise wastage, returns and unprofitable sales
n
- Maintain accurate sales and customer records
n
- Achieve agreed sales and profit targets
n

Commission n

The position includes an uncapped commission structure based on collected net profit.

n





Commission is calculated on customer payments actually received and cleared by the business. The commissionable profit will be calculated in accordance with the company’s agreed commission formula.

n

This structure rewards the salesman for profitable sales and successful collection of customer accounts, rather than simply generating turnover.

- Experience within the Sydney wholesale markets highly regarded
n
- Strong knowledge of wholesale fruit and vegetable pricing
n
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
n
- Ability to build long-term customer relationships

- Ability to work under pressure

- Excellent organisation and follow-up skills
