Mechanical Fitters – Demolition & Decommissioning Project n

Project: Major Commercial Site Demolition – Minimum 4 week project

n

We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our client’s team on a major demolition and decommissioning project in Granville.

n

The successful candidates will be involved in the mechanical dismantling, removal and decommissioning of existing plant, equipment and infrastructure as part of the site demolition works.

For You: n

- Monday to Friday roles paying $60 p/hr + Super
n
- Working hours of 7am to 3:30pm daily

- Minimum 4 - week project

The business delivers practical engineering, fabrication and manufacturing solutions across industrial and commercial applications. About the Role n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Mechanical dismantling and removal of existing equipment and infrastructure
n
- Decommissioning and disassembly of mechanical systems
n
- Removing conveyors, machinery, pipework and associated equipment
n
- Using hand and power tools, cutting equipment and mechanical tools
n
- Working with demolition crews and other trades to safely dismantle equipment
n
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings where required
n
- Identifying and safely removing mechanical components
n
- Following site procedures and strict WHS requirements
n
- Maintaining a safe and organised work area
n

About You n

To be successful, you will have:

n

n
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter
n
- Previous experience with demolition, dismantling or decommissioning highly regarded
n
- Experience working with conveyors, machinery, plant or industrial equipment
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
n
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
n
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
n
- Relevant Australian trade qualification
n
- White Card
n
- Strong commitment to safety
n
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
n
- Construction/industrial site experience
n
- Must have construction White Card
n
- EWP, Forklift, or Scissor Lift tickets advantageous
n
- Confined Space ticket advantageous
n
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
n
