Dick Johnson Racing is one of the longest-standing teams in the Supercars Championship, running a two-car Ford Mustang program from its workshop at Stapylton, south of Brisbane. We are looking for a No.2 Mechanic to join one of our car crews for the coming season.
The role n
Working under the No.1 Mechanic and race engineer, you will:
n
Prepare, assemble and maintain a Gen3 Supercar in the workshop and at every round of the championship
n
Carry out pre-event builds, post-event strips, inspections and component servicing, and keep component life records current
n
Fill a designated pit stop role at race events and take part in regular pit stop practice
n
Assist with set-up changes,
test days and general workshop duties as required
n
Travel with the team to all rounds and test days, including interstate and overseas events
About you n
Experience in a competition workshop or race team setting is preferred; Supercars or other national-level category experience is an advantage
n
Able to work accurately to procedure under time pressure, and physically fit for pit crew duties
n
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel for extended periods
n
Must have the right to work in Australia
