Associate Director - Corporate Intelligence & Investigations
n
Our client is an international advisory firm providing complex problem-solving for clients in business, investment, and government. They are seeking an Australia-based Associate Director to deliver strategic advisory work for clients, covering both domestic issues and international markets.
n
The role will focus on helping clients understand and navigate transactions, investments, and disputes in Australia and globally.
n
This is a client-facing position combining advisory and project leadership with relationship management and business development.
Key Responsibilities n
n
- Engage Australian corporate, investment, and government clients
n
- Deliver discreet fact-finding projects navigating corporate, legal, and regulatory landscapes
n
- Lead corporate intelligence and investigations assignments, including pre-transaction due diligence, integrity due diligence, source of wealth analysis, and asset tracing
n
- Lead strategic intelligence assignments, including market entry, stakeholder mapping, political and regulatory risk, and reputational assessments
n
- Provide investigative support for litigation, arbitration, and negotiation
n
- Build and maintain senior networks across Australian business, government, policy, and advisory communities
n
- Manage client relationships and identify opportunities to deepen and broaden existing engagements
n
- Contribute to business development, including originating opportunities, developing proposals, and participating in senior client discussions
n
Candidate Profile nn
- 10–15 years’ experience in corporate intelligence or corporate investigations
n
- Solid understanding of the Australian political, regulatory, business, and policy environment
n
- Experience advising senior stakeholders within corporate, investment, or government organisations.
n
- Experience working on international or cross-border issuesStrong analytical judgement and the ability to turn complex issues into commercially relevant advice
n
- Established network across Australian business, government, policy, or advisory circles
n
- Strong client relationship skills, with evidence of contributing to business development and account growth
n
n
This is an advisory role for someone who combines a strong understanding of Australia with an international outlook.
n
