About us: n

Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services provides the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of facilities, engineering systems, plant and equipment across Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.

n

The service comprises professional, operational, administrative and trade staff, including electricians, fitters, plumbers, carpenters and painters, who deliver a broad range of maintenance, repair and capital works. Services are provided through a combination of in-house expertise and contracted resources, ensuring safe, reliable and high-quality healthcare infrastructure is maintained across the health service.

In your new role you wll....

- Ensure that safe work practices and safety procedures are adopted at all times and that protective clothing and equipment provided is worn and used as recommended.
n
- Attend all classes and instructions to satisfactorily complete the indentured apprenticeship course.
n
- Assist Tradespersons in all aspects of their work so as to maximise learning experiences.
n
- Maintain confidentiality in respect of hospital information (patients/staff and general information relevant to the hospital).
n
- Liaise with other staff and if necessary, patients and visitors in a proper manner.
n
