Junior Medical Receptionist | Specialist Fertility Practice
About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and compassionate Junior Medical Receptionist to join our Specialist Fertility Practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in an administration, reception, or customer service role who is looking to build a career in healthcare. No previous medical reception experience is required, as full training will be provided.
As one of the first points of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals and couples throughout their fertility journey. You will also provide administrative and personal assistant support to our Fertility Specialist and clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
Welcoming patients and visitors in a warm, professional, and caring manner
Answering incoming telephone calls and responding to enquiries
Scheduling and managing patient appointments and follow-up bookings
Providing administrative support to the Fertility Specialist and Practice Manager
Maintaining accurate patient records and updating information within practice systems
Managing correspondence, referrals, reports, and other documentation
Assisting with general reception duties and day-to-day office administration
Learning and using practice management software (XESTRO) and office systems
Liaising with patients, healthcare providers, and external organisations as required
Supporting the smooth operation of the practice through a variety of administrative tasks
About You
Previous experience in an administration, reception, retail, hospitality, customer service,
or similar role
A friendly, professional, and approachable manner
Excellent customer service skills and a genuine desire to help people
Confidence communicating both in person and over the phone
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Able to work collaboratively within a small team
No previous medical reception experience is required. Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
Confident using computers and technology, with experience in Microsoft 365 programs viewed favourably.
Full-time, Monday to Friday position
