What’s in it for you n
This is not a role where you'll be handed a broken team and told to fix it. You are stepping into a well-run showroom with an experienced crew, a loyal customer base, and a GM who is genuinely invested in your success. The business has built its reputation over many years, based on service, premium quality and a team culture that keeps people engaged and working with the organisation for many years.
n
At the same time, there is real scope to make your mark. The business is investing in new systems and technology, and a manager who takes ownership and treats the showroom like their own business. You will find plenty of room to improve, grow and be recognised for it.
About the Company n
This business is a well established institution in Sydney's bathware industry. With a strong reputation built on quality product ranges, competitive pricing and exceptional service, it attracts a broad client base from architects, interior designers and builders specifying for premium residential projects, to homeowners undertaking renovations. The showroom is a destination in the Eastern Suburbs, and the business has the brand equity and team stability to prove it.
The Culture n
The culture here is professional, grounded and genuinely people-first. The GM leads by example and sets a tone that filters through the whole team. Staff are respected,
their contributions are valued, and the environment rewards those who take pride in their work. Longevity is a badge of honour here, and if you are the kind of manager who rolls up your sleeves and supports your team, you will fit right in.
What you will do n
n
- Lead, coach and develop a team of six across showroom sales, admin and warehouse; setting the standard for how the showroom looks, feels and performs
n
- Drive sales conversion by ensuring quotes are followed up, leads are nurtured, and the team is focused on turning interest into confirmed sales
n
- Manage showroom presentation and merchandising, keeping displays fresh and aligned with what A&D; clients and renovation customers want to see
n
- Oversee daily operations, including stock management, returns and deliveries, ensuring the showroom runs smoothly from open to close
n
- Work closely with the GM on margin management, business objectives and the continued growth of revenue and profitability
n
Who you are nn
- An experienced showroom or store manager from bathware, kitchen, furniture or an allied industry - You know this world and how to perform in it!
n
- Calm, firm and well respected by staff, suppliers and customers alike
n
- Commercially switched on, with a solid understanding of margins, discounting disciplines and what it takes to hit a sales target
n
- Comfortable with both A&D; clients, builders and home renovation customers walking through the door.
n
- Interior design qualifications are a bonus, though a solid track record in sales and showroom management will always speak louder
n
The hours n
5 days a week, with a rotating roster that covers every second Saturday.
