Job Description

The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in a refinery environment. This role ensures optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Maintenance & Repair n

n
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on HVAC units, including cleaning, inspection, and component replacement.
n
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant system issues.
n
- Troubleshoot faults in HVAC controls, sensors, and automation systems.
n

Compliance & Safety n

n
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
n
- Handle and recover refrigerants in accordance with environmental guidelines.
n
- Maintain accurate service records, logs, and documentation.
n

Customer Service & Communication n

n




- Communicate clearly with clients, supervisors, and team members regarding work performed, issues found, and recommended solutions.
n

Qualifications & Skills Essential n

n
- Trade qualified Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent).
n
- Or trade qualified Electrician with HVAC experience
n
- Solid diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
n
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams.
n
- Knowledge of HVAC electrical systems and controls.
n
- Current driver’s licence.
n

Desirable n

n
- Additional certifications (e.g., EWP, Working at Heights).
n
- Experience in commercial or industrial HVAC environments.
n
