Role Overview n
Our client is the world's largest pure-play ice cream company, operating in 76 countries, and they are looking for a driven Project Engineer to lead end-to-end capital projects.
n
You will have the autonomy to manage the site Capital Plan, deliver critical infrastructure and process upgrades, and work cross-functionally to shape the future of a high-performance, continuously evolving manufacturing site.
Key Responsibilities Capital Project Delivery & Financial Management: n
n
- Lead the full life cycle of multiple CapEx projects across process, packaging, utilities, and infrastructure, from concept and business case development through to commissioning and operational handover.
n
- Manage the site Capital Plan, aligning investments with strategic business objectives and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time in full (OTIF), and within budget.
n
- Manage project expenditure, cost savings, value delivery, and technical negotiations with suppliers.
n
Engineering Leadership & Collaboration: n
n
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, R&D;,
and external contractors to ensure seamless project integration.
n
- Oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and the successful handover of new assets.
n
- Drive robust risk management and contractor management processes while actively promoting asset care plans across the site.
n
Continuous Improvement & Compliance: n
n
- Leverage data and Lean Manufacturing principles (including TPM and EEM) to improve plant reliability, capacity, and operational effectiveness.
n
- Integrate sustainability initiatives directly into project designs, actively contributing to energy, waste, water, and carbon reduction goals.
n
- Ensure strict compliance with GMP, food safety, hygiene, and engineering regulatory standards.

Skills & Qualifications nn
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Mechatronics, Process, Industrial Engineering, or Instrumentation.
n
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in capital project management and manufacturing operations within an FMCG or industrial environment.
n
- Strong financial acumen with proven experience developing business cases, budgeting, and forecasting.
n
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and analytical problem-solving skills.
n
- Project Management certification and Chartered Engineer status are highly advantageous.
n
Salary & Work Rights nn
- 120K - 130K + Super + Flexible working advantages.
n
- Location: Minto, NSW.
