While most people are still asleep, a small team is already out in open paddocks preparing hot air balloons for flight. It’s calm, outdoors, and different every morning. You’re part of a ground crew helping launch and recover balloons across the Ipswich region.

We are currently looking for 1–2 Casual Driver & Balloon Ground Support Crew members.

n

This is hands‑on, early morning work (around 4–6am starts, finishing mid‑morning). Shifts are typically 3–4 hours, 3–4 days per week depending on weather and flights.

What you’ll be doing: n

n
- Driving MANUAL 4WD vehicles with long trailers
n




- Assisting with balloon setup, inflation, pack-down and recovery
n
- Supporting passengers and working with a small operational team
n
- Helping ensure safe and smooth flight operations
n

What we’re looking for: nn
- MANUAL driver’s licence (essential)
n
- Comfortable driving 4WD and towing a trailer
n
- Physically capable and reliable
n
- Able to follow procedures and work independently once trained
n
- Positive communication and awareness on the ground
n
- Ability to meet aviation safety requirements (Drug & Alcohol DAMP compliance) and early morning fatigue requirements
n
