Based in Cairns the Trades Assistant will be responsible for general labouring, preparation, and cleaning tasks within a shipyard environment as directed by immediate Leading Hand/Supervisor.

What’s involved n

- Participate in Confined Space Entry, Sentry, and Fire Sentry duties.
n
- Assist tradespeople when required.
n
- Assist in all aspects of the docking evolution.
n
- Understand, embrace, implement, and comply with all Austal Policies and Procedures related to HSEQ.
n

You’ll need nn
- Current Drivers licence.
n
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of as team.
n
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.

- Capable of performing work in a safe and acceptable manner.
n
- Ability to use standard tools.
n
- Possess good time management skills and ability to meet targets set by the supervisor.
n
- EWP + 11m.
n
- Working at Heights.
n
- Confined Space.
n
- Work in accordance with an issued permit.
n
- Demonstrate First Attack Fire Fighting Equipment.
n
- 1 year experience in general labouring.
n
- 1 year experience in Confined Space Entry Sentry and Fire Sentry.
