Lachlan Fleming Constructions Pty Ltd is seeking a Qualified Carpenter and 4th year Carpentry Apprentice to join our growing team based in Woodend, Victoria . This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work on diverse carpentry and construction projects in a collaborative and professional environment. Whether you are a fully qualified tradesperson or nearing completion of your apprenticeship, this role will provide you with the chance to develop your skills, contribute to high-quality construction work, and progress your career in the carpentry and cabinet-making industry.

nWhat you’ll be doing n
n

n
n
- Execute carpentry tasks on residential and commercial construction projects with precision and attention to detail
n
n
- Interpret building plans, specifications and technical drawings to guide project execution
n
n
- Measure, cut, shape and fit timber and other materials according to project requirements
n
n
- Install frameworks, flooring, roofing, wall and door systems to specification
n
n
- Perform finishing work including sanding, staining and protective treatments on timber surfaces
n
n
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition and participate in regular tool maintenance
n
n
- Adhere to workplace health and safety standards, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
n
n
- Collaborate effectively with other trades and construction team members on site
n
n
- Support site supervisors and project managers to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
n
n
- For apprentices: continue development of practical carpentry skills under supervision of experienced tradespeople
n
n

nWhat we’re looking for n
n

n
n
- Current carpentry trade qualification or demonstrated completion of 2rd year apprenticeship (3rd and 4th year apprentices welcome to apply)
n
n
- Strong understanding of building codes,



standards and safe work practices within the carpentry trade
n
n
- Proven ability to read and interpret building plans, technical drawings and specifications
n
n
- Competency in the use of hand and power tools relevant to carpentry work
n
n
- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
n
n
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
n
n
- Reliable work ethic with strong time management and organisational abilities
n
n
- Current or willingness to obtain a White Card (general construction induction card) or equivalent
n
n
- Current driving licence (desirable for site-based work)
n
n
- Previous experience in residential or commercial carpentry projects is highly valued
n
n
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and career development in the trade
n
