The Opportunity:

n

We have an excellent opportunity for an analytical and detail oriented Corporate Accountant to join our collaborative and highly functional finance team. This role will see you champion a constant drive for continued improvement in financial performance, assuming responsibility for month end processes and maintaining high work standards and procedures to ensure the accurate reporting of financial information.

You will bring deep understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and a proactive approach to financial management and compliance.

Day to day you will:

n

n
- Ensure the general ledger is accurately maintained, conduct thorough monthly balance sheet reconciliations in compliance with accounting standards
n
- Manage and process employee expense reporting and corporate card transactions
n
- Manage the preparation and submission of CapEx requests, ensuring proper documentation and budget compliance
n
- Prepare and post journal entries for accurate month-end closing and support the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
n
- Oversee and streamline the month-end close process, including reconciliations and analysis of accounts
n
- Prepare and file timely and accurate tax returns, including income, sales, and use tax filings
n
- Manage accounting for leases in accordance with relevant standards, including the calculation of lease liabilities
n




- Support audit preparations and provide financial insights and support to other departments, facilitating informed decision-making
n
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy
n

Qualifications n

About You:

n

n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Accounting or Finance
n
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role with knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations
n
- Advanced Excel skills with exposure to ERP systems
n
- Robust interpersonal communication skills and an ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
n
- A detailed orientated and process driven individual who is passionate about developing and embedding best practice
n
- Professional Accounting qualificationsuch as CA or CPA would be advantageous
n
