n Through Rio Tinto’s partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking an experienced Plant
n Controller.

n

This role is supporting a 24/7 operation, and the successful candidate will be required to work a
n rotating roster including Day, Night, Weekend and Public holiday work, with the roster patterns
n as follows:

n

5/5/4 - 5 days on, 5 days off, 4 nights on, 5 days off, 2 days/3nights, 4 days off.
n Your task is to control and monitor fixed plant equipment in a remote mining environment from a
n central control room.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Operations Centre, and working in a collaborative and exciting environment, you will: n

- Use specialised software and control systems
n
- Maintain communication with on-site personnel
n
- Respond to system problems and operational issues while meeting production targets
n

Your duties will also include: nn
- Strong commitment to safety
n
- Operation of HMI - SCADA systems to optimise safety and production.
n
- Effective and accurate downtime recording using downtime recording program.
n
- Engage with key stakeholders to enhance daily, weekly and monthly targets and strategies
n




- Effective administration and information collating
n
- Comply with business fatigue management polices
n

About You nn
- Prior Control Room experience in Fixed Plant Mine Operations environment (Preferred), or similar exposure in other fixed plant settings.
n
- Strong Communication skills
n
- Understanding of service delivery and value chain impacts
n
- Ability to multitask and identify risks
n
- Effective activation of emergency response and coordination or other high pressure critical tasks.
n
- Continuous improvement and collaborative mindset
n
- Hold a current drivers licence and have reliable transport
n
