Job Description
Guardian Traffic Services is a local, family-owned traffic management company servicing Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Central Coast and regional NSW.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Resource Allocator / Admin Officer to join our Cardiff team.
n
This is a key operational role responsible for coordinating crews and resources, managing operational changes, supporting clients and assisting with general administration.

About the Role n
n
Responsibilities include:
n
n
- n
Coordinating daily and forward crew allocations based on competencies, inductions, location and client requirements.
n
- n
Managing employee availability, sick calls, cancellations and replacement personnel.
n
- n
Coordinating vehicles, traffic signals and other operational resources.
n
- n
Receiving and processing client bookings and changes.
n
- n
Liaising with clients, field staff, supervisors and management.
n
- n
Responding to urgent and short-notice operational requirements.
n
- n
Maintaining accurate workforce and operational records.
n
- n
Updating scheduling and workforce management systems.
n
- n
Preparing spreadsheets, reports and correspondence.
n
- n
General and ad hoc administrative duties as required.
n
Early-Morning & After-Hours Requirements n
n
Due to the nature of the traffic control industry,
this role includes regular early-morning coordination and participation in an after-hours on-call roster.
n
This may include managing sick calls, arranging replacement crews and responding to urgent client or operational changes.
n
Weekend and public holiday on-call coverage is also required as rostered.
n
After-hours and on-call responsibilities are compensated by a separate on-call allowance in addition to the base salary.
About You n

We are looking for someone with:

Experience in scheduling, rostering, resource allocation or operations coordination.
n
- n
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
n
- n
Excellent communication skills.
n
- n
Confidence dealing with employees and clients.
n
- n
The ability to manage competing priorities and make decisions quickly.
n
- n
Strong attention to detail.
n
- n
A reliable and proactive approach.
n
- n
Strong computer and administrative skills.
n
- n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
n
- n
The ability to work independently and use sound judgement.
n
n
Experience in traffic control, civil construction, labour hire, transport, logistics or workforce scheduling will be highly regarded.
n
Knowledge of traffic control competencies, construction inductions, fatigue management and traffic management operations would also be advantageous.
