Job Description

Full Time Barista – Early Birdie Drive Thru, Bundoora n

Full time

n

Early Birdie is our drive-thru café at Swing & Serve on Plenty Road, Bundoora. We have a loyal local following, busy mornings and plenty of regulars who appreciate good coffee and a familiar face.

n

We’re looking for an experienced barista to take the lead and run the café day to day. Someone who sees a future in hospitality, enjoys getting to know their customers and wants a say in how the place operates.

n

You’ll be hands‑on making coffee, serving customers and working alongside the team, with support from owners who operate several hospitality venues.

What you’ll be doing n

n
- Making consistently great coffee and keeping service moving through the morning rush.
n
- Getting to know our regulars and making new customers feel welcome.
n
- Keeping the café organised, clean and stocked.
n
- Looking after day‑to‑day stock ordering and preparation.
n
- Helping the team work well together and maintain a consistent standard.
n
- Bringing ideas to improve the menu, service and customer experience.
n

About you n

You have at least two years’ previous barista experience and are confident on a commercial coffee machine, adjusting the grind and texturing milk.

n

You’re reliable, friendly and comfortable taking initiative. You notice what needs doing, communicate well and take pride in leaving things ready for the next shift.

n

Previous experience leading a café is welcome, but we’re also keen to hear from a strong barista ready to take that next step.

n

Early starts are part of the role, with opening shifts beginning at 5am, so you’ll need a reliable way to get to Bundoora.

What we offer n

n
- Permanent full‑time work, with rosters available two weeks ahead.
n
- Responsibility for the daily running of the café, with support when you need it.
n
- Room to contribute ideas and make improvements.
n
- Training and opportunities to develop your hospitality career across our venues.
