Why This Role? n

A Loader Driver / Yard Supervisor based out of our Cairns Concrete Plant.

n

Hourly rate: ranging from $32.61 to $36.39 depending on experience.

n

Overtime: time and a half after 8 hours, double time after 10 hours.

n

45 to 55 average weekly hours, Monday to Saturday work as needed.

Position Duties: n

n
- Material Handling: Push up and manage aggregate / sand stockpiles and feed the plant's bins and conveyor systems
n
- Loading Operations: Safely load raw aggregates into concrete plant hoppers and load external tippers and trucks
n
- Yard Maintenance: Maintain clean and organized material storage areas and surrounding plant, manage dust control, and perform routine pre- and post-start equipment checks
n
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to site traffic management plans, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and conduct daily safety inspections on the loader
n
- Completing stock takes

About You nn




- A Front-End Loader Ticket / VOC (Verification of Competency)
n
- A current Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain).
n
- Experience: Hands‑on experience operating heavy machinery in a quarry, sand/soil yard, concrete batching plant or similar workplace
n
- Basic machinery troubleshooting
n
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
n
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and follow processes and procedures.
n
- Safety‑first attitude and commitment to maintaining a clean, presentable yard and loader
n
