Steel Fixing Leading Hand / Working Supervisor n
CALROC Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Steel Fixing Leading Hand / Working Supervisor to join our team on FRP projects in Ipswich, Queensland.
n
We are looking for an experienced steel fixer who can lead a crew, plan daily work and manning, read and interpret reinforcement schedules and drawings, and maintain high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
n
Ongoing work is available for the next 12 months.
The Role n
As a Steel Fixing Leading Hand / Working Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
n
n
- Leading and supervising steel fixing crews on site
n
- Planning daily work activities and crew requirements
n
- Allocating work and managing manpower to meet project targets
n
- Reading and interpreting steel reinforcement schedules, drawings and plans
n
- Installing, fixing, cutting, bending and tying reinforcement steel
n
- Setting out reinforcement in preparation for concrete pours
n
- Ensuring reinforcement is installed correctly and to project specifications
n
- Coordinating with site management and other trades
n
- Assisting with concrete pours and general site activities when required
n
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area
n
- Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
n
- Supporting and mentoring steel fixing crew members
n
About You n
To be successful in this role, you must have:
n
n
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Steel Fixing Leading Hand or Supervisory role
n
- Strong steel fixing experience
n
- Ability to read and interpret steel schedules, reinforcement drawings and plans
n
- Ability to plan daily work and crew manning requirements
n
- Strong understanding of reinforcement installation and construction processes
n
- Good leadership and communication skills
n
- Ability to work hands-on while leading a crew
n
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
n
- Reliable and punctual
n
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
n
- Ability to work effectively with site management and other trades
n
- Past employment references are a must
n

- White Card
n
- Australian working rights
n
- Relevant trade qualification or solid industry experience
n
- Own basic tools
n
- Ability to work in a hands-on construction environment
n
