Bella Casa Painting & Decorating Pty Ltd is a professional painting and decorating company servicing Brisbane and surrounding areas. We specialise in high-quality residential and commercial painting, including interior and exterior repaints, new work, preparation and restoration projects. We are looking to immediately fill a permanent full-time position as Painter.

nKey responsibilities n

- Assessing jobs and preparing sites to ensure protection from paint spattering on unwanted areas
n
n
- Assessing the best locations to position scaffolding and ladders
n
n
- Erecting and positioning scaffolding, ladders and drop sheets safely
n
n
- Preparing surfaces for painting by removing old coverings, scraping, sanding, filling and patching to ensure surfaces are smooth and ready for painting
n
n
- Selecting appropriate paints, coatings, colours and additives to achieve the required finish and meet client expectations
n
n
- Mixing and matching paints and colours as required
n
n
- Applying paints and other finishes to designated surfaces using the most appropriate painting techniques
n
n
- Proficiently using scrapers, edgers, brushes, rollers, sponges, tapes and spray equipment as appropriate for each job
n
n
- Applying primers, sealers, undercoats and finishing coats
n
n
- Completing interior and exterior painting work to a high professional standard
n
n




- Ensuring completed work meets company quality standards and client expectations
n
n
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and free from unnecessary materials
n
n
- Cleaning and maintaining painting tools and equipment after use
n
n
- Working independently and as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes
n
n

nAbout you n
n

n
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating is preferred
n
n
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience where the applicant holds a relevant qualification, or at least 2-3 years of relevant painting experience where the applicant does not hold a relevant qualification
n
n
- Proficiency in various painting and decorating techniques, including rolling, brushing, texture finishes, crackling and sponging
n
n
- Experience with surface preparation and the application of different paint and coating systems
n
n
- Robust attention to detail and consistent workmanship
n
n
- Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines
n
n
- Reliable, punctual and flexible with working hours
n
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
n
- Current driver's licence preferred
n
n

Employment type: Permanent, full-time

n
n

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per annum + superannuation

n
n

The successful applicant will join an established and growing Brisbane painting business with ongoing full-time work across a variety of residential and commercial projects.
