Roster: 3 weeks on / 1 week off

Hours: 10-hour days

The Opportunity n
We are currently seeking experienced Site Engineers to join the delivery of the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ) - one of NSW's major renewable energy and transmission infrastructure projects.
n
This is an exciting opportunity for engineers with a strong civil construction background and hands-on experience across substation, transmission, piling, foundations, geotechnical and concrete works .
n
Working as part of an experienced project team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of major civil and structural works, ensuring construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, to specification and in line with project programmes.
n
The Role as a Site Engineer, you will work closely with the Project Manager, Project Engineers, Supervisors, subcontractors and construction teams to coordinate and deliver site-based engineering activities.
Your responsibilities will include: n
n
- Providing technical engineering support across day-to-day site operations.
n
- Managing and coordinating civil construction activities, including piling, foundations, FRP/formwork, reinforcement and concrete pours .
n
- Supporting geotechnical works and ensuring construction methodologies align with project requirements.
n
- Reading, interpreting and working from engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation .
n
- Undertaking quantity measurements, take-offs and assisting with costing and variations .
n
- Monitoring construction progress against project programmes and identifying potential delays or constraints.
n
- Adjusting and updating programmes to reflect actual site progress, resources and changing construction requirements.
n
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved methodologies and specifications.
n
- Conducting inspections and supporting quality assurance across all civil works.
n
- Working closely with the construction team to resolve technical issues and maintain project momentum.
n
- Maintaining accurate site records, reporting and engineering documentation.
n
- Ensuring all works are undertaken in accordance with project, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
n
About You n
You will be an experienced Site Engineer with a strong civil construction background , ideally gained across major infrastructure, energy or transmission projects.
n
We are particularly interested in engineers who can demonstrate practical site experience across:
n
n
- Piling and foundation construction
n
- FRP / formwork and reinforcement
n
- Concrete structures and concrete pours
n
- Geotechnical works
n
- Earthworks and civil infrastructure
n
- Substation construction
n
- Transmission line infrastructure
n
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
n
- Quantity take-offs and project costing
n
- Construction programming and programme adjustments
n
- Subcontractor coordination and site delivery
n
n
Experience working on major Australian infrastructure, renewable energy, transmission or substation projects will be highly regarded.
n
You will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced site environment, communicating with multiple stakeholders and taking ownership of engineering outcomes.
What You'll Bring n
n
- Degree-qualified Civil Engineer or equivalent.
n
- Demonstrated experience working as a Site Engineer on major construction or infrastructure projects.
n
- Strong practical understanding of civil construction methodologies.
n
- Proven experience with concrete, foundations, piling and/or geotechnical works.
n
- Ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
n
- Strong understanding of construction programmes, quantities and project costs.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Strong attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
n
- Previous experience in the Australian construction industry.
n
- Ability and willingness to work on a remote/regional project on a 3:1 roster .
n
