Experienced 1:1 SIL Support Worker - Complex Behaviour Support | Logan

Care Roots is building a dedicated support team for an adult participant transitioning into his own Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Logan.

n

This is a 1:1 complex support role suited to experienced workers who are calm, consistent and confident supporting someone with complex behaviours and a history of trauma .

n

The participant is intelligent, personable and values trust and genuine connection. He requires a team who can provide structure, clear boundaries and consistent support while helping him build greater independence and stability in his home and community.

The role n

You will provide 1:1 support across a 24/7 roster, including:

- Daily living and household routines
n
- Community access and appointments
n
- Building independence and life skills
n
- Positive behaviour support
n
- Trauma-informed support and de-escalation
n
- Establishing consistent routines and boundaries
n
- Accurate shift notes and incident reporting
n
- Working collaboratively with his behaviour support practitioner and broader support team
n




- Inactive sleepover shifts
n

Who we're looking for n

We are particularly interested in people with experience in complex SIL, behaviours of concern, autism, trauma-informed practice, mental health or justice/corrections environments.

n

You will need to be someone who can remain calm under pressure, communicate clearly, maintain professional boundaries and build trust over time.

Essential requirements n

n
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
n
- Working with Children Check where applicable
n
- Current First Aid & CPR
n
- Current Australian driver's licence
n
- Reliable transport
n
- Relevant NDIS worker training
n
- Availability across a 24/7 roster
n

n

Previous experience in complex 1:1 support is highly regarded.
