Workday Integration Lead n

Location: Melbourne
n Duration: 12-month FTE Opportunity
n We are seeking an experienced Workday Integration Lead to join a large enterprise organisation and take technical ownership of its Workday integration landscape.
n This is a hands-on technical leadership position combining major integration project delivery with ongoing BAU support and knowledge transfer. You will work closely with Payroll, People & Culture, Finance, Workforce Planning and Technology teams to design, deliver and optimise secure, scalable and reliable Workday integrations.
n The role will be approximately:

n

- 50% Project Work - delivering new integrations, enhancements and transformation initiatives
n
- 40% BAU - production support, troubleshooting, monitoring, incident resolution and continuous improvement
n
- 10% Knowledge Transfer - documentation, mentoring and transferring technical knowledge to internal teams
n

Key Responsibilities n

You will lead the design, development, testing, deployment and support of Workday integrations, using technologies including Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, APIs, web services and middleware platforms.
n You will also:

- Lead Workday integration projects and technical workstreams from design through to production.
n
- Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical integration solutions.
n
- Manage integration testing, deployment, cutover, release management and production support.
n
- Monitor integration performance and troubleshoot complex production issues.
n
- Develop integration specifications, data mappings, technical documentation and support procedures.
n
- Work closely with internal technology teams, Workday specialists, vendors and implementation partners.
n
- Improve automation, integration resilience, data integrity and operational processes.
n
- Ensure integrations meet security, privacy, architecture, data and change-management standards.
n

Skills & Experience n

To be successful,



you will bring:

n

n
- Extensive hands-on experience designing, developing and supporting Workday integrations within a large, complex organisation.
n
- Strong experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Workday Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs and RaaS.
n
- Strong understanding of Workday HCM, Payroll and workforce management processes.
n
- Experience with ADP Payroll integration projects is highly desirable, particularly integrating Workday with ADP payroll environments.
n
- Experience integrating Workday with payroll, workforce management, finance, identity, recruitment and other enterprise platforms.
n
- Strong understanding of integration architecture, middleware, secure file transfer, authentication, data mapping, reconciliation, monitoring and error handling.
n
- Experience across end-to-end testing, deployment, cutover, release management and production support.
n
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capability.
n
- Experience managing vendors and implementation partners.
n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

This role would suit an experienced Workday Integration Lead, Senior Workday Integration Consultant or Workday Integration Specialist who enjoys balancing project delivery with hands-on operational support.
n You will have the chance to take ownership of business-critical Workday integrations while contributing to the organisation's broader integration roadmap, service improvement and technology strategy. The position also has a strong focus on building internal capability through documentation and knowledge transfer.
