Regional Health is seeking a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join its growing Women's and Children's Service in Gippsland, Victoria.

The Opportunity As a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, you will play a key role in delivering specialist women's healthcare services across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

n

You will work alongside experienced medical, nursing, midwifery, and allied health teams to provide safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care while supporting the ongoing growth of the service.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological services across inpatient, outpatient, antenatal, and procedural settings
n
- Manage both routine and complex obstetric and gynaecological presentations
n
- Deliver high-quality patient-centred care in accordance with best-practice clinical standards
n
- Participate in consultant on-call and ward service rosters
n
- Develop and implement treatment plans that support continuity of care and strong communication with community healthcare providers
n




- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, registrars, medical students, and multidisciplinary learners
n
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
n
- Contribute to service planning, policy development, and future service expansion
n
- Support education, teaching, and professional development activities across the organisation

About You To Be Successful, You Will Possess nn
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
n
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
n
- Specialist Registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA
n
- Demonstrated expertise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Consultant level
n
- Commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based care
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
n
- Experience supervising and mentoring junior medical staff
n
- Commitment to quality improvement, clinical governance, and continuous professional development
n

International Medical Graduates assessed as substantially comparable or eligible for specialist registration pathways are encouraged to apply.
