Through Rio Tinto’s partnership with Chandler Macleod, we are seeking an experienced Mine Controller.

n

This role is supporting a 24/7 operation, and the successful candidate will be required to work a
n rotating roster including Day, Night, Weekend and Public holiday work, with the roster patterns
n as follows:

n

5/5/4 - 5 days on, 5 days off, 4 nights on, 5 days off, 2 days/3nights, 4 days off.

n

Your task is to monitor and manage mining equipment from a central control room.

Reporting to the Supervisor of Operations Centre, and working in a collaborative and exciting environment, you will: n

- Coordinate haulage
n
- Respond to system alerts and operational issues
n
- Maintain communication with on-site personnel ensuring production targets
n
- Use specialised software and control systems remotely
n

Your duties will also include: nn
- Strong commitment to safety
n
- Operation of fleet management systems with a range of multiple fleet types and targets
n
- Engage with key stakeholders to enhance daily, weekly and monthly targets and strategies
n
- Effective administration and information collating
n




- Comply with business fatigue management and drug and alcohol policies
n

About You nn
- Prior Mining/Experience in Mine Operations control room environment (Preferred), or similar exposure in Fleet or Logistics Environments, or high-volume operational environments (Logistics, Warehousing or Aviation)
n
- Fleet Management System experience is advantageous
n
- Understanding of service delivery and value chain impactsAbility to multitask and identify risks
n
- Efficient activation of emergency response and coordination or other high pressure critical tasks.
n
- Continuous improvement and collaborative mindset
n
- Hold a current drivers licence and have reliable transport
n
