About the Role n
You’ll work as part of a highly skilled Field Service team providing maintenance and technical support across multiple customer sites throughout Melbourne.
n The role combines hands-on electrical maintenance with customer-facing service, requiring excellent fault-finding skills, sound technical judgement and the ability to communicate effectively during equipment failures and planned maintenance activities.
n You’ll work on a wide variety of automated equipment including:
n

- Automated conveyor systems
n
- High-speed sorting equipment
n
- Shuttle systems
n
- Robotic material handling equipment
n
- Motors, drives and gearboxes
n
- Sensors and safety devices
n
- PLC-controlled automation systems
n
Key Responsibilities nn
- Perform planned preventative maintenance across automated material handling systems.
n
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults to minimise equipment downtime.
n
- Respond to breakdowns across multiple customer sites throughout Melbourne and the South East
n
- Replace and commission electrical components.
n
- Troubleshoot motors, VSDs, sensors, safety circuits and control equipment.
n
- Assist with PLC-based fault finding and system diagnostics.
n
- Complete maintenance documentation and service reports using the company’s CMMS system.
n
- Develop strong working relationships with customers through qualified communication and technical support.
n
- Maintain compliance with Australian Standards and all internal WHS procedures.
n
- Work safely, independently and professionally while representing the company on customer sites.
n
- Current Australian Electrical Contractor Licence.
n
- Minimum 1 years’ post-apprenticeship industrial electrical experience.
n
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
n
- Experience working on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, sensors and industrial control systems.
n
- Experience performing preventative and reactive maintenance within industrial environments.
n
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
n
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
n
- Ability to work autonomously across multiple customer sites.
n
- Ability to pass a functional assessment and drug & alcohol screening.
n
Highly Regarded nn
- PLC fault-finding experience (Siemens preferred).
n
- Experience with warehouse automation or fulfilment centre equipment.
n
- CMMS experience.
n
- Mechanical aptitude.
