We are looking for an Embedded Software / Firmware Engineer to join a growing engineering team developing advanced, high-reliability technology based in Sydney.
n In this hands-on role, you will work across embedded C/C++, firmware development, BSPs, embedded Linux, hardware bring-up, and system integration.
n You will collaborate closely with hardware and software engineers to develop, integrate, test, and troubleshoot systems running on custom hardware.
n You will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects across the full development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through to implementation, testing, and deployment.
n Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware using C/C++ for microcontrollers and SoCs.
n
- Work across bare-metal and RTOS-based environments.
n
- Develop Board Support Packages (BSPs) and support new hardware bring-up.
n
- Configure and integrate processors, peripherals, memory, clocks, and communication interfaces.
n
- Embedded Linux development, configuration, and hardware bring-up.
n
- Develop drivers, state machines, communication interfaces, and system-level software.
n




- Integrate software with FPGA-based systems and other hardware components.
n
- Read schematics and datasheets and translate hardware requirements into software.
n
- Participate across the full development lifecycle, from requirements through to testing and deployment.
n

Skillset Required:n
n

n
- 5+ years of hands-on embedded software or firmware development experience.
n
- Strong experience with C and C++ in embedded environments.
n
- Experience developing firmware for microcontrollers or SoCs, including bare-metal and/or RTOS environments.
n
- Embedded Linux experience
n
- Experience with BSP development and hardware bring-up.
n
- Experience reading schematics and datasheets and debugging across the hardware/software boundary.
n
- Experience with communication interfaces such as CAN, Ethernet, RS-422/485, or similar.
n
- Familiarity with Git, CMake, Python, and automated testing.
n
