Safety Advisor - Toowoomba n

About the role n

My client is looking for an experienced Safety Advisor to join their team in Toowoomba. You'll support a diverse portfolio of construction projects across the region, working alongside site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to keep their people protected and projects compliant. This is a hands-on, highly visible role where you'll make a real difference every day.

What you'll be doing n

n
- Providing proactive health and safety support across construction projects throughout Toowoomba and surrounds
n
- Travelling between project sites to conduct inspections, audits and safety observations
n
- Assisting project teams with risk assessments, SWMS, incident investigations and corrective actions
n
- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems
n
- Monitoring site safety performance and identifying opportunities to lift outcomes
n
- Coaching and educating employees, subcontractors and stakeholders on safety best practice
n
- Promoting a positive safety culture through clear, genuine engagement with site teams
n
- Assisting with injury management and return-to-work processes where required
n
- Maintaining accurate safety records, reports and compliance documentation
n




- Building strong working relationships with site teams and stakeholders across multiple projects
n

What you'll bring nn
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in workplace health and safety or a related field
n
- Ideally 5+ years' experience in a similar role
n
- A current driver's licence and the ability to travel regularly between project sites
n
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, standards and best practice
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems
n
- The ability to work as part of a team and show initiative when working independently
n
- Strong relationship‑building skills with all stakeholders
n
- A down-to-earth, friendly and professional approach (a sense of humour helps!)
