We are seeking an experienced Senior AV Technician to join our Managed Services team in a full-time role based in Melbourne CBD, reporting to the AV Operations Lead.

n

This is a senior technical position suited to an experienced AV professional who enjoys solving complex technical issues, supporting and mentoring others, and working closely with stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality AV environments.

n

The role will act as a key technical escalation point within the AV team, providing hands-on technical expertise while contributing to system improvements, technical standards and the ongoing development of the broader team.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex and high-impact AV incidents.
n
- Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting across AV systems, including DSP, control systems and networked AV.
n
- Lead technical reviews and system audits to identify performance issues, risks and opportunities for improvement.
n
- Support AV project planning, system upgrades, refurbishments and new technology deployments.
n
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors and key stakeholders to maintain consistent AV standards.
n
- Diagnose recurring technical issues, complete root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
n
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, including schematics, network diagrams, configurations and system information.
n
- Evaluate emerging AV technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Mentor and support AV technicians, sharing technical knowledge and troubleshooting best practices.
n




- Deliver technical training and contribute to the onboarding and development of technical team members.
n

About You n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Strong experience in AV system integration, support and troubleshooting, ideally within a large or complex environment.
n
- Advanced knowledge of AV technologies, including Crestron and/or AMX control systems.
n
- Experience with DSP platforms such as Q-SYS and Biamp.
n
- Strong knowledge of AV-over-IP and networked AV systems.
n
- Experience supporting video conferencing, room scheduling and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
n
- A strong understanding of ICT infrastructure and AV/IT convergence.
n
- Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership and resolving complex AV issues.
n
- Strong documentation and technical design review skills.
n
- The ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
n
- A collaborative approach and willingness to mentor and develop other team members.
n

Relevant certifications such as CTS-D, Q-SYS Level 2/3, Crestron Master or Cisco CCNA will be highly regarded.
