About the Role n

This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to step into a hands‑on, client‑facing role delivering process automation solutions across manufacturing environments. You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle – from development through to commissioning – with the autonomy to run your own workstreams and contribute to project success on‑site. Projects are wide-ranging in size and complexity, ranging from short continuous improvement upgrades through to larger commissioning phases requiring extended site presence. Location: South east Melbourne

Key Responsibilities n

- Design and develop PLC and SCADA systems within FMCG manufacturing environments.
n
- Deliver end‑to‑end project work including testing, commissioning and optimisation.
n
- Work across multiple technologies and automation platforms.
n




- Attend client sites for commissioning (typically 1 week to 1 month depending on project size).
n
- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders during project delivery.
n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and smaller upgrade projects.
n

The Ideal Candidate nn
- 3-5 years’ experience in industrial/process automation.
n
- Strong PLC experience – Rockwell/Allen Bradley essential.
n
- Exposure to SCADA platforms such as FactoryTalk, Ignition, AVEVA or Citect.
n
- Proven track record in end‑to‑end project delivery.
n
- Experience within FMCG, food & beverage or similar manufacturing industries.
n
- Understanding of batch control and MES systems (S88/S95 highly regarded).
n
- Basic database/SQL knowledge.
n
- Comfortable working on‑site and travelling when required.
n
