Sewing Machinist (Casual) - Curtains & Blinds n

We make premium custom curtains, blinds and tracks for homes across Melbourne's south-east. We've been doing it since 2003, we back our work with a 10-year warranty, and we were a finalist in the 2026 WSAA Independent Retailer Award.

We make premium custom curtains, blinds and tracks for homes across Melbourne's south-east. We've brought blind and track manufacturing in house and demand for our curtains is growing, so we're adding a casual to our small production team. We are versatile with work hours and work with you if you have other commitments.

Key responsibilities n

- Measure and cut fabric to spec
n
- Learn to operate industrial sewing and overlocking machines
n
- Hem, join, weight and finish curtains
n




- Assemble roller blinds and tracks
n
- Press, fold and pack finished work ready for install
n

About you nn
- Accurate with measurements and able to follow a written spec
n
- Steady hands and patience for precision work
n
- Reliable: our install calendar depends on it
n
- Happy to be shown a method and stick to it
n
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 20kg
n
- Available consistently during the week, ideally three days together
n
- Any sewing background helps — domestic, clothing, upholstery or soft furnishings — but it isn't essential.
