HOBAN Recruitment is seeking a number of passionate individuals to fill the role of Visitor Services Officer on behalf of our client, located at the heart of remembrance in Campbell ACT.

The position is a Customer Service role and is due to commence training on OCTOBER 19th, 2026, for 5 days full days of training (Fully paid).

n

The role is a casual assignment and there are several shifts available which run over 7 days per week between the hours of 9:00am and 5:06pm each day Monday to Sunday.
n We ideally would like candidates to be able to work 3 – 4 shifts per week as a minimum.

About the Role: n

- Actively engage visitors with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a memorable experience.
n
- Provide accurate and insightful information on exhibitions, tours, and activities.
n
- Deliver engaging public programs that enhance visitor understanding.
n
- Contribute to the solemnity of the daily Last Post Ceremony.
n
- Maintain gallery security while conveying the Memorial's ethos with sensitivity.
n
- Successfully complete all mandatory training within the first four weeks of commencement, including emergency, evacuation and safety procedures, with ongoing training and regular testing to maintain preparedness and competency.
n
- Long term assignment.
n
- The Pay Rate for this assignment is currently $41.04 per hour including casual loading whilst on training for approximately 4 weeks and once 'signed off' you will go up to a $42.28 per hour rate including casual loading, plus 12% superannuation.

- Penalty rates apply for hours worked on a Sunday or Public Holiday.
n
- Meaningful work that contributes to preserving our nation's legacy.

About You: nn
- You should have exceptional interpersonal skills with a dedication to Customer Service.
n
- You will need to be able to deal with a wide variety of visitors to site in a professional and friendly manner.
n
- You will display a high empathy and self-awareness and be adept at navigating sensitive situations.
n
- The role requires a high level of customer service as well as outstanding presentation and communication skills.
n
- You should be able to display strong problem-solving abilities, demonstrating resilience and initiative.
n
- You do need to be an Australian Citizen to work for us on this assignment and also be able to pass a National Police Check .
n

You would be required to complete a telephone interview with a Hoban representative, and if successful, you would be invited to attend a 10 minute Face to Face interview on site with the client.
