Looking for a candidate that is passionate about construction with excellent communication and client facing skills coupled with a positive can-do attitude. Projects circa $100m to $500m.

n

Our client is an established and renowned construction project management consultancy offering advisory services in property and project management. They have a diverse project portfolio spanning commercial, retail, industrial and pharmaceutical just to name a few. They are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their successful and client focussed team to work on projects up to the value of $500m.

n

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of a large-scale new build industrial project. Candidates can come from a consultancy or head contractor background and ideally have some base build experience.

n

The company holds high value in the stakeholder management element of the job,



the ability communicate both verbally and written and client facing interactions coupled with a strong base technical knowledge base as well as design and the ability to administer contracts.

n

Construction experience with major projects or the industrial sector would be ideal.

n

Years of experience: 3 – 7+ years

n

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

n

- Client management and consultation
n
- Project Planning/Feasibility studies
n
- Risk Management
n
- Value Engineering
n
- Design Management and Value Engineering
n
- Procurement of construction services
n
- Cost control and cost reporting and superintendent
n
- Commissioning and post contract duties for handover
n
- Oversight and delivery of the project
n

n

Qualifications and Requirements:

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or similar
n
- Minimum 3 to 5 years+ experience within the construction industry
n
- Superintendent skills
n
- Proven knowledge of contract administration and base build construction
n
- Strong negotiation skills
n
- Sound understanding of overall construction programmes and plans
n
- Able to identify key client and builder obligations
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Ability to build rapport at all levels
n
- Advanced computer literacy
n
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
n
