Job: Senior Software Tester

A global, mission-led technology organisation supporting Defence, Intelligence and Federal Government customers is growing its Mission Software capability in Australia. You'll join teams building and supporting trusted, mission-critical software where quality, reliability and outcomes genuinely matter.

We're seeking an experienced Senior Software Tester to join a multidisciplinary delivery team, working full-time on-site in Scoresby (VIC) or Canberra (ACT).

n

You'll partner closely with engineers, architects, business analysts and customer stakeholders, owning end-to-end testing activities across the SDLC-from early requirements review and test planning through execution, defect management, validation and reporting.

n

Package: up to $180,000 package (dependent on experience)
n Work type: Permanent, full time on-site
n Locations: Scoresby (VIC) or Canberra (ACT)

To be considered, you must be:

- Hold an active NV-2 or TSPV clearance
n

n

Applicants may also need to meet ITAR requirements, which can impact eligibility in certain dual nationality / residency scenarios.

- Review requirements for testability and quality outcomes
n
- Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, cases and procedures
n
- Deliver functional, integration, system, regression and UAT testing
n
- Execute manual and automated tests and accurately capture results
n
- Identify, track and manage defects, risks and improvement opportunities




n
- Work with delivery teams to prioritise and verify defect fixes
n
- Maintain traceability across requirements, tests, defects and results
n
- Run/participate in test readiness and QA reviews
n
- Produce high-quality test reporting, metrics and stakeholder updates
n
- Support broader verification and validation activities
n
- Strong hands-on experience testing across one or more phases of the SDLC
n
- Proven ability to create and execute test plans / test cases / test procedures
n
- Solid capability with defect identification, triage and verification
n
- Strong understanding of testing methods, processes and best practice
n
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
n
- Excellent communication skills-comfortable with technical and non-technical stakeholders
n
- Strong analytical/problem-solving approach in fast-paced delivery settings
n
- Test automation tools/frameworks exposure
n
- CI/CD and automated QA practices
n
- Performance/load/resilience testing experience
n
- Defence/Government or regulated environment experience
n
- ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications
n
