Job Description

DNA Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for our client, a leading Australian resource recovery and recycling organisation based in Bridgewater, TAS.

n

This is a hands-on role maintaining heavy industrial processing equipment, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding and plant reliability.

Hours

n

n
- Day Shift: 7:30am - 3:30pm
n
- Afternoon Shift: 1:00pm - 9:00pm
n
- Monday to Friday
n
- Must be flexible to work across both shifts and assist with after-hours breakdowns when required
n

n

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Preventative and scheduled plant maintenance
n
- Mechanical fault finding and breakdown repairs
n
- Maintain shredders, crushers, conveyors and recycling equipment
n
- Fitting, fabrication and welding work
n
- Assist with shutdowns and major maintenance
n
- Identify potential equipment failures before breakdowns occur
n
- Work with production teams to minimise downtime
n
- Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner or equivalent
n
- Strong industrial plant maintenance experience
n
- Experience with shredding machines, crushing equipment and/or recycling processing machinery
n




- Strong mechanical fault-finding and breakdown maintenance skills
n
- HR Truck Licence
n
- Relevant welding tickets/qualifications
n
- Ability to read technical and engineering drawings
n
- Strong understanding of safe work practices and equipment isolation
n
- Reliable, practical and solutions-focused
n
- Flexible to work both shifts and after-hours when required
n

n

Experience within recycling, waste processing, quarrying, crushing, mining-related processing, timber processing, heavy manufacturing or similar industrial environments will be highly regarded.

n

Electrical disconnect/reconnect licence is advantageous but not essential.
