Job Description
We are seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to join our friendly, professional and highly driven team.
n
Working closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality and Engineering departments, this role will optimise continuous production lines, improve process capability, and standardise manufacturing practices to deliver safe, high-quality products while reducing operational costs.
n
Reporting to the Plant Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
n
Manufacturing Process Optimisation:
n
Analyse and optimise our production processes.
n
Improve line efficiency, throughput, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
n
Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to improve production capacity.
n
Improve changeover times and production scheduling flexibility.
n
Support the introduction of new manufacturing technologies.
n
Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives across the production facility.
n
Facilitate collaboration and cross-functional improvement workshops as required.
n
Assist Operations Management in promoting a culture of continuous improvement through employee engagement and training.
n
Work closely with Quality Assurance to reduce defects.
n
Improve compliance with product standards, customer specifications, and quality management systems.
n
Support internal and external audits, as required.
n
Automation and Digital Manufacturing:
n
Identify opportunities to automate manual production and inspection processes.
n
Support the implementation and optimisation of PLC- and SCADA-controlled production systems.
n
Work with Maintenance and Controls Engineers to improve machine reliability and automation performance.
n
Support Industry 4.0 initiatives, including:
n
Real-time production monitoring
n
Machine performance analytics
n
Digital work instructions
n
Automated quality data collection
n
Predictive maintenance
n
Assist with commissioning new production equipment and process upgrades.
n
Collaborate with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
n
Analyse production losses and develop corrective actions to improve equipment availability.
n
Support preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives.
n
Participate in equipment upgrades and capital improvement projects.
n
About You:
n
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, Industrial, Materials, or Process Engineering.
n
Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
n
Process capability and Data Analysis.
n
Experience with industrial automation.
n
Hands-on experience with 3D modelling software. Ex: SolidWorks
n
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
n
Experience with managing Capital Projects.
n
Industry 4.0 Technologies
n
Experience in insulated panel, steel processing, building products, or continuous production manufacturing.
n
Knowledge of PIR foam processing, adhesive systems, or mineral wool manufacturing.
n
Experience with PLC/SCADA-controlled production lines.
n
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
n
Design and specifications, and commissioning of latest industrial technology.
n

Experience in Project Management

Power BI or similar reporting tools
n
