We’re looking for a Risk Manager to join our Line 1 Risk team, partnering closely with the Asset Management business to strengthen risk capability, embed best practice, and support strategic initiatives. This is a high-impact role where you’ll work directly with the business to ensure strong risk management, regulatory compliance, and a proactive risk culture.
What you’ll be doing n
n
- Adhere and apply the organisation’s Risk Management Framework (RMF) and control environment across Asset Management
n
- Partner with business leaders to strengthen risk practices and culture across Asset Management
n
- Provide risk and regulatory advice on strategic initiatives, projects, and business activities
n
- Assess regulatory developments and support the business to implement change effectively
n
- Review proposals and initiatives to ensure compliance obligations and risk considerations are appropriately addressed
n
- Provide clear, concise risk reporting and insights to business leaders
n
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders across Risk, Compliance,
and Internal Audit
n
- Drive continuous improvement in risk processes, frameworks, and methodologies
n
What we’re looking for nn
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience such as Accounting, Commerce, Banking or Law
n
- Minimum 5+ years experience in operational risk and compliance in the financial services sector. Experience in wealth / funds management is preferred
n
- Strong understanding of the products and regulatory setting for managed investment schemes and wholesale funds; exposure to superannuation, wealth management and wrap platforms is beneficial
n
- Ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
n
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; change management and project delivery experience in risk & compliance contexts
n
- Sound understanding of regulatory obligations and risk and compliance frameworks
n
- Solid experience managing frameworks, policies and processes in complex, dynamic organisations
n
- A proactive mindset with a passion for improving risk capability and culture
n
n
