Who are we looking for? n
We're working with a leading Australian energy company on an exciting 10-month secondment opportunity for a commercial lawyer. This role sits within a high-performing legal team supporting a diverse portfolio of generation and renewable energy assets. The assignment is commencing immediately and will be offered on a full-time basis.
Your responsibilities will include: n

- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.
n
- Advising on legal matters relating to large-scale generation assets, including traditional and renewable energy operations.
n
- Supporting renewable energy projects, including wind farms, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and hydro assets.
n
- Leading and supporting commercial negotiations with internal and external stakeholders.
n
- Managing complex legal matters and providing practical, commercially focused advice.
n
- Advising on regulatory developments and business change initiatives where required.
n
Ideal candidates will have: nn
- Have at least 5 years PQE, ideally gained from top or mid-tier law firms or in-house, with solid legal training.
n
- Strong commercial contracting experience and the ability to provide strategic legal advice.
n
- Experience within the energy, infrastructure, construction or projects sectors will be highly regarded.
n
- The ability to work autonomously and build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business.
