About the Role n
Exciting opportunities exist for passionate, caring and qualified Health Assistants (Nursing) to join our agile team at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. You will work in collaboration with a multi‑disciplinary ward team, under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) or equivalent, and will make a positive contribution to patient care through assistance and support to our Registered and Enrolled Nurses.
Responsibilities n
n
- Contribute to positive patient outcomes by ensuring all elements of supervised or delegated work is completed accurately and in accordance with St Vincent's policies and procedures
n
- Participate in delegated aspects of patient care, including but not limited to assistance with: personal hygiene, nutritional needs, mobility, transfers and positioning within the ward, elimination needs
n
- Ensure patient privacy and dignity is maintained at all times
n
Requirements nn
- Certificate III Health Assistant (Nursing) or second year undergraduate nursing student (Bachelor/Masters of Nursing) equivalent
n
- Current National Criminal History check, or willing to obtain
n
- Current National Disability Insurance Scheme check, or willing to obtain
n
