Join our new Tamworth Medicare Mental Health Hub, providing counselling and support to individuals, couples and families.

We're seeking an experienced Couple & Family Counsellor to join the new Medicare Mental Health Hub in Tamworth.
n This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative partnership between Relationships Australia NSW, Grand Pacific Health and Odyssey House, delivering integrated mental health support through a "no wrong door" approach. The Hub brings together clinical, peer and community expertise to provide coordinated, person-centered care for people experiencing mental health challenges.
n As a Couple & Family Counsellor, you'll provide therapeutic support to individuals, couples and families, helping clients strengthen relationships, improve wellbeing and navigate complex mental health challenges.
n You'll work within a multidisciplinary team, providing counselling, assessment, care coordination and recovery planning while contributing specialist family systems expertise.
Key Responsibilities n

- Deliver counselling to individuals, couples and families
n
- Conduct intake, psychosocial and risk assessments
n
- Develop recovery and wellbeing plans with clients
n
- Provide care coordination and service navigation
n
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
n
- Apply family systems and evidence-based therapeutic approaches
n
- Maintain professional documentation and participate in supervision
n

Key Responsibilities n

What You'll Bring nn
- Qualifications in Counselling, Counselling & Psychotherapy, Relationship Counselling, or Couple & Family Counselling
n
- Eligibility for registration with AHPRA, AASW, PACFA or ACA
n
- Minimum 100 hours of clinically supervised counselling experience
n
- Experience working with couples and families using a family systems framework
n
- Understanding of mental health, family violence, child protection and addiction
n
- Commitment to culturally safe, trauma-informed practice
n
The Detail nn
- 12-month maximum term contract
n
- Located in Tamworth
n
- Approx. $50-$56 per hour + 12% superannuation
n
- 17.5% leave loading
