Sydney | Global Accessories Business | 12-Month Contract

We’re working with a global accessories business that is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Accessories Designer & Developer to join their Sydney-based team on a 12-month maternity cover contract .

n

This is an exciting prospect to join an established international business and play a key role across the design, development and delivery of accessories collections .

The Role n

Working closely with the wider design, product and merchandising teams, you’ll be responsible for taking accessories from initial concept through to final product.

- Designing and developing seasonal accessories collections
n
- Creating concepts, colourways, CADs and technical specifications
n
- Researching trends, materials, finishes and market direction
n
- Working closely with suppliers and manufacturers throughout the development process
n
- Managing samples, revisions and approvals
n
- Ensuring products meet the required design, quality, cost and commercial targets
n
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure collections are delivered on time
n




- Managing multiple product categories and projects across the development cycle
n

About You n

We’re looking for someone with solid accessories design and development experience who understands both the creative and commercial sides of the process.

n

You’ll ideally have:

n

n
- Strong knowledge of accessories, materials, construction and manufacturing
n
- Experience working with suppliers and factories
n
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
n
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- Confidence working independently within a fast-paced, international environment
n
- Proficiency in relevant design and CAD software
n
